Daisy's 1st Campout - Overnighter

 
Thank you to all that made out campout a success!!  The girls and I had a wonderful time!!  I can't even begin to tell you all the new and exciting things that they learned and discovered.  Memories were certainly made and I looking forward to next year.

A special thank you to Miss Cynthia, Miss Jennifer and Miss Debi for helping me out and staying overnight!  If it weren't for you, we would have been sleeping in the car the first time that raccoon scared me!!

Parents and Scouts - Thank you for making our very first outing a success!  I know that I had a blast and I hope your girls did too.  I know when 3pm came they did not want to get ready leave camp!! 

Please check your scout for ticks, we seen quite a few while we were there and my daughter brought one home with her. 
Hope to see all of you again in 2 weeks for our overnight stay!!    {Countdown = 13 Days!}

Summer is upon us and that means it's time for camping!!  Your Scout worked so hard this year to sell cookies and earn badges - now it's time to have some camping fun!!

Our camping theme this summer is - "The Beginning".

We will start with the camping basics. . . making a sit-upon, camp bandannas, learning about leave-no-trace camping, safety rules around a fire, nature hikes, first aid, flag ceremony, s'mores and so much more!!

During our camp out, your Scout will earn 3 participation patches.  Second year Daisy's will earn the Daisy Journey -Between Earth and Sky & bridging brownies will earn their very first Brownie Try-Its!

What to Bring Camping

Sleeping Bag or bedroll

Small pillow

Stuffed animal small enough to stay inside the sleeping bag

Clothes

                -Shirts

                -Shorts

                -Sweat Shirt or Jacket

                -Long Pants

                -Socks and Under Garments

                -Pajamas

Sneakers

Towel and Washcloth

Mess Kit or Plastic ware with dunk bag

Flashlight with new batteries

Rain poncho

Bandanna

Insect Repellent (Non-aerosol)

Sunscreen

Laundry bag

Brush

Tooth brush & tooth paste

Water Bottle

Sit-upon

Please label all items to ensure they are returned to your scout.

**All medications need to be brought to the leaders before departure.  They must be in their original container with name and dosage on them.**
